The Sight Through The Mask

The Sight Through The Mask

A Part, My Part, Your Part

To find my part
in this insurmountable dream,
I put on my mask.
In order to hide my problems,
to live in the now.

One day, I find my miracle.

A true unadulterated miracle
is in us all. For it all plays its part,
dignified with its own esteem and grace. In the here and now
I feel my legs give out from under me, for it feels like I am falling into a dream.
To the land behind the looking glass in order to find a cure to my problems.
It festers inside my mask.

We all live in the mask
of self destruction. Sitting, waiting for a miracle
to occur. For the lives we live are full of the problems
from our past. And soon they will take part
in our future; for the dream
we live in turns into the nightmare of now.

We no longer live in the now,
you see. We cannot believe that the mask
we wear is a lie. And the truth we need to see, is no longer a dream.
Found in the reflection of a glass, without a pretense and without the lies. We share in the miracles
that we perceive, and in order to begin to play a new part,
cast to us in our own story. We no longer feed into the death of our problems.

Death is a problem
that we breed in our soul. We see it now,
but choose to deal with it later. For the part
that our soul plays in the life we live, is to insist in a life outside of our masks.
The hope we wish to live in is a miracle;
outside of the common place it rejoices in the birth of a dream.

For eternity’s playground is a blink in a dream.
For our problems
are a blink in eternity. And the miracles
that we look for now,
are the truths we see in the future. The mask
that we wore served as a block in their part.

The miracles we see, are in the here and now.
No longer do we have to cower behind our problems and reveal the truth is behind the mask;
and live through the truth, with our dreams at our side, we begin playing our new part.
